From 2025-2026, we provided grant application support services to Indigenous businesses applying for the NIAA Remote Jobs Economic Development  (RJED), a $707m grant program for remote Australian communities.  Through NIAA Agency Collaborates, Blax Capital was the only Indignenous business contracted to work on RJED and RAES.

As IBA Consultants in NSW, Victoria and Northern Territory, we've worked with Indigenous businesses writing business plans, developing growth strategies while coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs.  In associated enterprises, we have delivered programs and events funded by IBA that empowers Indigenous women in leadership and interrogates the business and finance needs of First Nations Women in business.

Between 2021-2023, we provided Business Mentoring services to over 200 small businesses across the NSW Business Connect network.  Throughout the turbulent COVID period, we developed sustainability strategies to support a wide range of NSW businesses from start-ups to established businesses. Blax Capital was subcontracted by NSWALC.

 Blax Capital has a strategic partnership with Social Ventures Australia to collaborate on consulting, capital and impact-investment initiatives that advance First Nations economic empowerment. The partnership combines Blax Capital’s Indigenous-led expertise in business development, investment readiness, capital raising and culturally grounded commercial advisory with SVA’s capabilities in impact investing, strategy, transaction advisory and impact measurement. Together, we develop and support First Nations enterprises and projects from opportunity origination and investment readiness through to capital raising, transaction execution, impact measurement and growth. 

 We work alongside clients from early-stage concept development through to major investment and project transactions. This can include identifying viable commercial opportunities, preparing business cases and investor materials, structuring projects, sourcing grants or investment, negotiating with capital providers and helping Indigenous organisations retain meaningful ownership, control and long-term economic benefit.

Blax Capital also works with non-Indigenous Australian businesses, investors, government agencies and project developers .

Blax Capital has worked with the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) since 2023 as an Indigenous Business Partner, including supporting the launch and advancement of AIBC’s First Nations Roadmap 2023–2026. The partnership brings together AIBC’s Australia–India business, government and diplomatic networks with Blax Capital’s Indigenous business, investment-readiness and economic-development capability.
